Kyiv is a place to know the essence and base of the Ukrainian world.
The world heritage churches in the old town are the sacred place of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Above all, in the Uspensikii Cathedral, the combination of gold and white color enhances purity and divineness.
The churches are the highest peak of Ukrainian culture and Ukrainian religious views. But, the battle exists between the Orthodox Church of Ukraine managed by Moscow for a long time and the new Orthodox Church of Ukraine supported by the Ukrainian government after the merger of Crimea. Ukrainians cannot entrust their essence to Moscow.
The folklore museum in a suburb exhibits 300 traditional houses from all over Ukraine.

Despite of a large country, the plan of most farmhouses is a simple rectangular type. The structure is a log. The differences are only the steep roof and the darkened logs in the snowy mountains and a wall painted white in the plains. The solid simple form would be the measures for a severe winter or a history of various ethnic interventions?. The reason why the form has been shared is because of vast plains?
The golden gate in the old town gives off the scent of the soil and roughness of the plains.
